There are about a million casino's in Vegas. You can gamble everywhere including local supermarkets and gas stations. As a general rule, the further you get from the strip, the better your odds are, at least on things like slot machines and video poker. If you don't have a rental car, you are probably not going to want to venture too far from the strip. I seem to do better at some of the older casinos, including those downtown at the fremont experience. I guess it stands to reason the bigger and flashier casinos need to make more money to cover their costs. For off strip gambling, I prefer to go to the station casinos. They seem to not pay as much as they did when they were in bankrupcy, but at least so far I'm still in the black every year with them. I particularly like sunset station and green valley ranch.
